following points are important to keep in mind:

Keep communication open with your significant
other. Talk about the feelings you are
experiencing through the process.

Depression, sadness
-

-
Maintaining good habits such as eating a balanced
diet, abstaining from alcohol and other drugs,
exercising, and getting enough rest are important.
-
Even if you are trying to be strong, remember it is
OK to cry.
-
Find reasons to laugh.
-
Seeking counseling or a support group.
Support groups offer help and guidance from people who
have been through, or are going through, the same
things.
